Temple Visit Information

Kohrin-in is normally closed to the public, but during special opening periods, visitors can come without a reservation.

Closed days:	Subject to change depending on temple services.
Visiting Hours:	10:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Last entry) From December 1, last entry is at 4:00 PM.
Admission Fee:	Adults: ¥800 / Junior high & high school students: ¥400 / Elementary school students: ¥300 (must be accompanied by a guardian) *Cash payment only

ACCESS

Kohrin-in is a temple located in Kita Ward, Kyoto.
It is open to visitors only during special viewing periods.

Access from Major Locations

From Kyoto Station: - Take the Karasuma Subway Line bound for Kokusaikaikan and get off at Kitaoji Station.
- From the Kitaoji Bus Terminal, take any of the city buses: No. 1, M1, Kita 8, 204, 205, or 206.
- Get off at Daitokuji-mae bus stop, then walk about 5 minutes to Kohrin-in.【Around 35 minutes】

From Hankyu Kyoto Kawaramachi Station: - From Shijo Kawaramachi, take city bus No. 12, 46, or 205.
- Get off at Daitokuji-mae bus stop, then walk about 5 minutes to Kohrin-in.【Around 40 minutes】

From Keihan Demachiyanagi Station: - At Demachiyanagi Station bus stop, take city bus No. 1 bound for Nishigamo Shako.
- Get off at Daitokuji-mae bus stop, then walk about 5 minutes to Kohrin-in.【Around 30 minutes】

Getting to Kyoto from Across Japan

From TOKYO Haneda Airport (HND): - From Kansai International Airport or Itami Airport, travel to Kyoto using the access method from Osaka. 【Around 1 hour and 10 minutes】

From TOKYO Tokyo Station: - Take the JR Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen “Nozomi” (bound for Shin-Osaka).
- Get off at Kyoto Station.【Around 2 hours and 15 minutes】

From CHIBA Narita Airport (NRT): - From Kansai International Airport or Itami Airport, travel to Kyoto using the access method from Osaka.【Around 1.5 hours】

From OSAKA Osaka Itami Airport (ITM): - Limousine Bus (Hankyu Kanko Bus)
- Get off at Kyoto Station.【Around 1 hour】

from OSAKA Kansai International Airport (KIX): - From Kansai International Airport Station, take the JR Kansai Airport Limited Express “Haruka” bound for Kyoto. Get off at Kyoto Station.【Around 1 hour and 20 minutes】
